DIGITIZATION OF DOCUMENTS AND RECORDS FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY:

Kira Staff trained in EDRMS

In the bid to embrace technology Kira Municipal staff have been introduced and trained to/in the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). A two days training at Matter    Wood Hotel in Kyaliwajjala has started with the training of End users and then the second day will be for Action Officers.

In his closing remarks of day one the Municipal Town Clerk Mr. Yiga Benon said that Kira was selected as one of the entities for the pilot study and it’s the first Local Govern to be enrolled on the system and he is hopeful that the system will not only help in records management but also improvement in survive delivery.

“On several occasions letters are produced but necessary actions delay due to misplacement of files and time taken to physically move the files but having gone digital such cases will be no more due to the simplified tracking and so we appreciate the Ministry of Public service having prioritized Kira for the pilot study!”
