Who is Jumba Janat Nantongo the newly elected Chairperson of Financé Committee Kira MC?

Born in the family of Mr. Jumba Muhammad of Lugala Zone in Kijabijjo C, Janat went Gayaza Church of Uganda Primary School for her primary education and thereafter joined Our Lady of Good Counsel for secondary. From there she Joined Kabulasoke PTC –Gomba for qualifications in primary Education and later on joined Kyambogo University.

A mother, Janat taught at Kawempe junior School and Rain Bow in Kawempe as a way of practicing her profession.

Currently representing female of Kimwanyi ward at the Municipality on NRM ticket, she started political career in Kawempe Division of Kampala City where she served as a youth leader at a ward level and thereafter in 2016 she came back home in Kira where she contested as a female councilor representing four villages at the Kira Division Council where she was appointed as an Executive Secretary Social Services.

Honorable Jumba Nantongo (NRM) representing the female of Kimwannyi ward won the Chairpersonship of Finance committee at the Municipality beating Hon. Buwembo Robert on a difference of only one vote when she scored 19 votes against Buwembo (NUP) who got 18 votes. Her dream is to carry on with the political career to the level of a Member of Parliament.#
